Of the ten largest sculptures in the world, 4 are in China, 3 in Japan, 1 in Myanmar, 1 in Thailand and 1 in Russia. All other statues are of a cult nature and are associated with Buddhism and other Eastern religious teachings.

The first place in the list of the largest sculptures is Buddha statue of Spring Temple, which is located in the village of Zhaoqun, next to the monastery and a healing spring. The height of the statue without a pedestal is 128 meters. The statue was built after the Afghan Taliban destroyed a unique cultural monument - two rocky images of Buddha in the Bamiyan Valley.

The second highest sculpture is the Buddha statue, which is called Lechzhun Sasazha. This gigantic monument stands near the city of Mounyua in Myanmar, in the temple complex. On the territory of this complex you can find more than 5,000 different images of Buddha. The height of the statue is 116 meters.

The third line of the list is Japanese sculpture Daybutsu Usiku (Big Buddha). The statue is located on the territory of the Arcadia Park in the small town of Ushiku (50 kilometers from Tokyo).
